Welcome back my dear readers,
it's time again for an update as it's almost March and I don't want that you are missing something out.
So, in my last post I was saying that I was looking at TROW. I still do but I didn't buy any positions yet.
In January I added a new stock to the portfolio. It's a boring one called Old Republic International Corporation (ticket: ORI).
It seems I have have something with financial stocks (they are a property insurance company) and the diversification of my portfolio isn't that great today but I will work on that one in the coming months to buy positions in other sectors.
If you look at ORI's track record, it is a very stable stock, paying dividends and growing that dividend every year. The dividend doesn't grow at a 10% rate but in the last 10 years it increased the dividend with almost 50% which isn't that bad. Taking into account the special dividend every year, this is stock is giving a nice return and I'm going to keep it in my portfolio for a long time.
I bought 30 shares of ORI in January.
My next stocks that I want to have in my portfolio or to increase their size:
- TROW
- JNJ
- MRK (waiting till it drops below 100)
- NEP
- AXP
- KR
- PG
- MA
- CVS
Well, I still have more on the list but I need some more money to diversify more. So, remember to buy every month a part of the share that you want and keep compounding the dividends into your portfolio.
Happy trading everybody!
TT.
