Hey everybody,
Welcome back for another portfolio update. I did some changes in my portfolio in July:
- Sold my NEE position and bought Ally
- Bought more ABR
So as you can see, I invested again in ABR as the dividend yield is at 10% which is nice.
So why did I sell NEE?
I did again some research and saw that NEE had a very high payout ratio. You could disagree to sell it as this an energy stock and we all know that the energy sector will do very well in the upcoming 12 months but for me, I'm not looking for stocks were I'm can gain a lot in a short time. I rather have a steady growth and Ally has dropped 50%, has a nice growth path as well and the is very attractive.
The payout ratio for Ally is 26% so even now they can still pay the dividend and increase it. I'm more looking for those kind of dividend stocks.
Other stocks that I'm looking at:
FRT and MMM as they are also performing well in a recession.
Happy trading everybody!
